COURSE DESCRIPTION
Are you a boots-on-the-ground appraiser who’d like to take on review assignments? Or someone who wants to understand how appraisal reviewers think?
In this course, Hal will walk you through appraisal reviews from A to Z, including who does review assignments, how to analyze a URAR form report for compliance and credibility, and how to review your peers’ work without being a total jerk.
At AeL, we believe that review appraisers should NOT view these assignments as a great chance to “bust” someone or abuse power. Of course, sub-par work should be called out. But why not start from the assumption that most folks are trying to do quality work? We need appraisal reviews, to maintain public trust and ensure quality work. The best way to achieve those goals is to provide constructive feedback in a spirit of camaraderie — and to accept good-faith feedback with intellectual humility and gratitude.
By the end of the course, you’ll understand how to conduct review assignments, respond to your work being reviewed, and start accepting review assignments.
Join us for a Live-Virtual offering of our brand new 7-Hour CE class, Critique – Anatomy of a Review, with Instructor Hal Humphreys.
