Course Description

The Life of an Appraisal – What Happens Next is a 4-hour course for residential real property appraisers and is intended to improve the understanding of appraisers in the mortgage process and the intended use of a real estate appraisal. This course begins with a brief history of the mortgage industry and the role an appraisal plays in that history.

Course learning will center around the life cycle of an appraisal needed in various mortgage finance transactions and how the appraiser can complete the assignment in the context of the intended use.

The goal of this course is to help appraisers understand the demands placed on their clients in delivering appraisal reports in conjunction with a mortgage finance transaction, thereby enhancing the understanding and cooperation between real estate appraisers and their mortgage lending clients.
