Want to become an appraisal reviewer and start accepting review assignments? This advanced course will help get you there.
In the class, you’ll review updates to USPAP, do practical exercises, see examples of actual review appraisals, and discuss how to develop a review appraisal assignment. By the end of this class, you’ll understand how to review appraisal reports for USPAP compliance.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
– Explore USPAP with regard to reviewappraisal assignments
– Analyze best practices for appraisalreview
– Determine scope of work necessary forappraisal review assignments
– Unravel the differences/conflicts betweenScope of Work Rule and Assignment Conditions
– Uncover the difference between what “I”would do and what USPAP requires
– Find out why assignment conditions arenot necessarily required Scope of Work requirements
– Find the best methods to addressassignment conditions v. scope of work.
– Hit upon the highlights of the variousGSE assignment conditions and how they apply to scope of work
– Review a proper statement of scope ofwork
– Look at the three cardinal rules ofappraisal review
– Identify the fundamentals of scope ofwork development
– Review the Top Ten list for appraisalreviews
– Define the rules of when standard 1applies and how to adjust scope of work
– Describe the goal of appraisal review
– Explain the benefits of using USPAP asthe basis for all appraisal reviews (NOT WHAT FHA/VA/AMC ETCREQUESTS/REQUIRES.)
– Look at USPAP requirements for datacollection and verification
– Learn the basics of math as applies toconsistency in adjustments
– Interpret when an appraiser’s scope ofwork is appropriate
– Establish consistency in size, datacredibility, and analysis

If you are on Pacific Time, Class is from 8am-11:30am PT (doors open at 7am).
If you are on Mountain Time, Class is from 9am-12:30pm MT (doors open at 8am).
If you are on Central Time,Class is from 10am-1:30pm CT (doors open at 9am).
If you are on Eastern Time, Class is from 11am-2:30pm ET (doors open at 10am).
*REFUND POLICY (24hr Cancellation Policy): Refund requests must be made at least 24 hours prior to the start of class. Cancellation must be in writing. No refunds will be given within 24 hours of class start.
If you register within 24 hours of Class Start, you will only be eligible for a transfer. This transfer credit expires 30 days after the original class date. After this 30 day period, we are unable to issue a transfer, and you will forfeit the class cost.
*CE ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS: The class is offered via Zoom Meeting. Computer audio/video, reliable internet connection, and 100% attendance are required for CE credit. We must be able to see and hear your camera, and you are not allowed to be driving or riding in a car during class. These are state requirements for CE.
