Webinar Description

This is not a masterclass in machine learning. You won’t be coding in Python or building your own Large Language Model from scratch in a fever dream of digital ambition. This is the entry ramp, the beginner’s map for appraisers who want to understand just enough about AI to keep their boots dry and their business alive.

I’m your guide, Hal Humphreys. I’m not an AI expert. I’m an appraiser, like you, who finally stopped glaring suspiciously at ChatGPT and started poking around under the hood. What I found wasn’t sorcery. It was a surprisingly useful tool… once I figured out how to talk to it.

What you’ll learn

In this friendly, hands-on introduction, we’ll cover:

  • How to sign up for ChatGPT and choose a version that suits your needs (and budget)
  • How to teach it your tone and avoid sounding like a malfunctioning chatbot
  • How to ask it smart questions about real appraisal work—neighborhood sections, market area summaries, and even sales comparison analysis
  • How to spot its nonsense before it makes you look like a fool

This class is designed for the AI-curious but tech-wary. No hype. No jargon. No promises of instant genius. Just practical, beginner-level skills you can start using immediately.

If you’re waiting for the world to slow down so you can catch up, don’t.

Learn the basics. Start small. Because AI won’t replace appraisers… but it may replace the ones who refuse to learn.
