When does “excess” land become “surplus” land? How’s each one handled in mortgage appraisal?
In this class, we’ll discuss all aspects of land value and its application to the appraisal process within the context of the 1004 URAR, including methods of estimating value for land, definitions of highest and best use, and how H&BU applies to excess vs. surplus land.
We’ll examine case studies that demonstrate excess vs. surplus land and how to apply highest and best use to each. And we’ll dive into USPAP, GSE, FHA and VA guidance and compliance.
Class is offered via Zoom Meeting.
