COURSE DESCRIPTION

Appraiser’s Guide to Appraisal Inspections is a course designed for use by real property appraisers, financial institutions, underwriters, AMC personnel, and regulatory entities.  The focus of the course is to bring awareness of the changing types of real property inspections for appraisal related assignments.  This course is primarily targeted toward residential real property appraisers; however, it does apply to both residential and commercial appraisers as well as other property data collectors alike.  In summary, this course highlights the traditional appraisal inspection with insight to new and proposed inspection methods.

COURSE OBJECTIVES                                                            

By the end of the course, students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of:

  • The significance of whether an inspection is necessary
  • Understanding the difference between bifurcated, hybrid and traditional inspections
  • The importance of utilizing innovation in the appraisal inspection process

Bryan S. Reynolds, CDEI™ is a KY/TN Certified General Real Property Appraiser, a registered agent with the TN State Board of Equalization and an AQB Certified USPAP Instructor. He has testified and appeared in various courts, planning and zoning boards as both an expert and as an agent making valuation arguments before local and state hearing officials and Administrated Law Judges.
